Corinthians ...
We met, we jogged, we sprinted, we prayed.... love, respect, truth, faith, judgement, community ... these are some of the foundational themes we found. Its all about having the mind of Christ in this crazy fallen world. Yet God is faithful. The Holy Spirit will counsel us in order that we may keep the matters of the heart God honouring because we cannot do it on our own. Good thing because every day comes with its own challenges. So to be in healthy relationships with God, others, ourselves and creation we need wisdom, and discernment that only God can give us.... because "The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength".

I was reading yesterday a devotion by Dr. Charles Stanley, which was taken from Proverbs 2:1-22. It talks about the benefits of searching for the wisdom and God, so thought I would share it with you.
ReplyDelete3 and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom,
and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
... and jumping down a bit ...
9 Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11 Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.
So let's keep searching!! :)
